Big Picture to Big Ben Walk 2016

Big Picture Charity Films apart from providing films for the charity showcasing our work,  are also a Business against Poverty member for many years. NikThe charity was a concept set up by Nik Read of New Vision Video Productions who wanted to be able to support charities like ourselves and who often do not have the budget.   We are delighted that we were part of Nik’s vision for his charity Big Picture Charity Films after he visited Romania with us back in 2006 on a life changing expedition!  To date Nik has provided the charity with many films showcasing our work in Romania, having last year visited with us again to provide our latest videos, some of which you can view here .

Their annual fundraising event for 2016 was a 27 mile walk along the Nik 3Jubilee Greenway on May Bank holiday Monday.  Walking anti-clockwise from the O2 arena through London and finishing at the iconic Big Ben, the challenge took some 10 hours. Nik said “It was a challenge in itself for 26 people to walk as a team through London but we managed to stay together and a good team spirit was had by all. The affects of staying on your feet for that length of time proved slightly painful for some but we kept going and arrived at Big Ben triumphant!

nik 2We would like to thank all that participated and those who kindly sponsored us. Without ongoing fundraising we would not be able to help charities like ‘People Against Poverty’ to get their message out through the medium of film. If you know any charities that could benefit from what we do, please get in touch”.
