Game On – Let’s Do This!
Those of you who know me will be aware that I am a bit of a fitness fan. With the 2015 London Marathon becoming a distant memory I have been busy thinking about my 2016 challenge. Determined to do something for our charity this year my Initial thoughts were around setting up a 24-hour fitness marathon of different exercise classes (something I may now reserve for 2017) but then I saw the Trekfest post for PaP and knew it was a ‘must do’!
Trekfest is in its 4th year and from what I’ve read, it is fast becoming one of the UK’s best charity walks. Taking place in 2 of the UK’s most breath-taking national parks – Brecon Beacons and Peak District – TrekFest offers participants a choice to complete one of four demanding trekking routes: 100km * 75km * 50km * 25km – Truly something for everyone!
I have never been walking in the Peak District but have had it on my ‘to do’ list for some time now so this little adventure is the perfect opportunity to tick it off my list and support PaP; magic! And I will be going for the whole 100km (nothing like pushing the limits!!)
The Brecon Beacons dates are super close – 3rd – 4th June – whereas there are still a few months to prepare and get the mindset right for The Peak District – 3rd – 4th September.
So what say you BaP members? Anyone up for being part of the team, getting fit, taking in some stunning scenery and having fun whilst raising funds for our charity?
Come on, I know you want to! Read more at the People against Poverty website and let’s do this!
