Seeking Action Heroes.

People against Poverty Seek Action Heroes…

Are you the next Mila Jojovich or Tom Cruise? People against Poverty can help!

People against Poverty is looking for people to take part in a sponsored skydive. For most, this will be a once in a lifetime event and a chance to participate in something completely outside their usual experience. This will also be a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded people while raising money for a great cause. Any money raised will go towards funding the project work of the charity, who work around the world improving the lives of people living in desperate conditions.

The first person to register to jump will be BaP’s non-exec director and trustee Dick Beath. He had an extensive career in the British Infantry where he was promoted to acting Major. Nowadays, Dick acts as a volunteer chaplain at the RUH Bath and appears regularly on local radio. He is also known for his charitable work with various not-for-profit organisations in both Africa and the UK as well as his work in the mental health sector. If you’d like to keep your feet on the ground while still showing your support, Dick is looking for people to sponsor him.

The skydive will take place at Netheravon Airfield (between Salisbury and Marlborough) on the 12th May 2018. To secure your place, please contact People against Poverty either by email at or calling the office on 01225541269. A deposit of £50 will be required, and a minimum amount of £400 will need to be raised in sponsorship before the day. If you want to join but can’t make the 12th, another event will be held on the 15th of September.
