Congratulations this month go out to Jules Ashford. Jules is partner owner of Triangle Design Ltd a highly creative Design Agency who work with International brands such as Lego, Toys R Us, Flymo and the AA.
Jules has been a long term supporter of People against Poverty and an advocate member of Business against Poverty recently becoming a very effective member of the steering group. Her team at Triangle have been responsible for some fantastic designs for our child sponsorship campaigns including the header for our Business Newsletter.
We asked Jules:
What motivates you? The ducking and diving to overcome the challenges that business throws at you to keep clients, suppliers and the team happy!
What is your Business philosophy? Delivering beyond expectation while maintaining balance of life for everyone involved. To complete every project with excellence resulting in our clients and their team looking great, and our team bursting with the satisfaction of being part of another job well done.
Who do you admire in the world of business and why? James Caan. He has built successful businesses but has not lost touch with his heritage and has a heart to help people in poverty. He uses his success and influence for good – to promote greater awareness of issues facing the developing world, with a primary focus on children’s access to education and healthcare. Leading from the front, James is also not afraid to get involved personally, as seen in 2010 when he flew to Pakistan immediately after the worst flooding in the country’s history and personally purchased, prepared and delivered emergency food parcels.
What would be your advice to anyone wondering if their business could benefit from joining Business against Poverty? For some CSR is just a page of words making up a policy to tick a box for tenders. The main reason to join is : for very little cost Business against Poverty brings your CSR policy to life. Everyone in the business can take part if they wish and see their impact unfold. Other benefits include being part of a group of like-minded businesses that want to make a difference and the ability to attend relevant and informative seminars and networking events. Don’t think twice – it’s genius!
