La La Piano Bar is a New York style pop-piano bar and this year La La Piano Bar dedicated their annual charity fundraiser to our work. On Sunday 27th November some great west end and celebrity singers came together to offer a unique night of entertainment in the fabulous Groucho Club in London’s Soho.

La La Piano Bar is a pop-up piano bar hosted by David Roper from 4 Poofs and a Piano and the voluptuous Lady La La.  They brought together a fantastic line-up . It was a night full of love with top class performers lighting this famous west end venue.

The event raised £1,100 for our work and we are proud to have La La Piano Bar on board as a Silver partner/member.  The La La team put lots of effort to ensure their fundraiser was a resounding success and we look forward to working with them during the year ahead.

We asked David Roper, Creative Director:

What Motivates You?   Basically bringing joy and happiness to our fans and customers… There has been so much doom and gloom in 2016 – with political turmoil, wars and refugee crises around the world.  We have also seen the loss of many significant creative artistsHowever, what we really hope is that our events have made some people smile, and as they sing along to their favourite tunes they can enjoy a really special evening and briefly forget all their troubles.

It has even been proven that singing has health benefits!

What is your business philosophy? Simply to continue to bring our unique entertainment events to audiences across the UK and Europe.  To further build our global creative brand – that is synonymous with fun, excitement, good times and warm experiences.

Who do you admire most?   We admire ordinary people’s resilience and creativity in the face of adversityEven in the most difficult circumstances many people find ways of being creatively purposeful, and of bringing fun and joy into other people’s livesThat really inspires us.

What would be your advice to anyone wondering if their business could benefit from joining Business against Poverty?  These days many businesses are not just about making money. They are about making a difference.  What could be more positive than helping young children in some of the poorest countries of the world access education, good health and life changing projects.

We would definitely recommend joining Business Against Poverty. It facilitates a direct opportunity to connect with collective social responsibility, whilst at the same time spreading love across the globe.

All together now… ‘All you need is love…’
