Congratulations to Celia Mannings, Independant Consultant of Arbonne who is our May Member of the Month.
We asked Celia:
What motivates you? To realise my full potential and be the best version of me that I can be. It’s important there is meaning and value in what I do. I know my personal values and want to make a difference in work and in life for others; to contribute and improve the quality of life. I’m motivated by gaining expertise in my chosen fields and sharing it with others to their benefit. I love training, ongoing learning and development and have come to realise that my only limitations are those I impose on myself. I’m motivated by a desire to improve health and am grateful for the opportunity to do so on a far greater scale than when I was a doctor.
Who do you admire the most? I admire those who are open-minded, kind, tolerant and giving and who have the ability to put themselves in others’ shoes with understanding. I admire people who embrace change and are prepared to step out of their comfort zone to take action to make a difference, both in taking responsibility for others and for themselves.
What is your business philosophy? have a mantra I try to say as often as possible every day; ‘how can I do this in a more loving way?’ I believe if everyone did this on a daily basis, meant it, and took action to fulfil it, the world would be a far better place. My core values are love, commitment and generosity and I try live these with as much passion and enthusiasm as I can. My business on a wider scale is a team community with a strong ethic, identity and culture which is a safe place to build supportive relationships and grow as an individual. I’m proud to share a means by which anyone from any background, education or experience can achieve their hopes and dreams. I’m using my experience of 20 years as a doctor to motivate others to improve their health and show them how.
Advice to anyone wondering about if their business would benefit for joining BaP: Your business WILL benefit from joining, if you take an active part. Go to Romania and see first-hand the work that People Against Poverty do, and share it with others. Take part in networking, social and learning events with other like-minded business people and you’ll form mutually beneficial connections and show you a means to give back and make a difference.
