Each month we profile one of our members to find out more about them, what motivates them and why they support BaP.
This time we interviewed Julian Thompson, co-founder of 24-7 Staffing, an independently owned recruitment business established more than ten years ago and covering a large geographical area with offices in Chippenham, Yate and Amesbury.
What motivates you?
Ensuring all of our candidates exceed the expectations of our clients. Our goal is to be the first call supplier in our specialist fields of driving, commercial, industrial and healthcare with three principles at the forefront of this; quality, honesty and value.
What is your business philosophy?
Our mission is to be the preferred supplier for high quality professional staff to our clients by inspiring our candidates and colleagues to deliver an outstanding service to achieve shared goals through our partnership. Some of our primary goals include improving the quality of the candidates we provide and lifting the skill levels within our local industries.
Who do you admire the most?
Richard Branson, because of his tenaciousness and the way he has a strong element of fun in everything he does. How he embraces corporate social responsibility is admirable too.
What would be your advice to anyone wondering if their business could benefit from joining Business against Poverty?
Having a purpose for going to work beyond money is vitally important and I’m very proud we signed up to a fantastically well organised Business against Poverty.
Making a positive change to people’s lives is at the heart of recruitment and training, so we wanted to partner with a charity that could support these values. This partnership will create a butterfly effect through our staff, candidates and clients generating a sense of greater achievement through the work we do.
