SLTS South West Ltd – Simon Long has been awarded the Member of the Month in that past but we think he deserves the recognition yet again for the support that he gives to the charity as a whole.
After visiting the Romanian project back in 2015 with Val Huxley the CEO of the charity and seeing the traumatic distress that some of the children and families were experiencing and especially meeting Florenta, an old lady who had previously had a stroke and was bed ridden unable to speak, Simon ensured that he kept informed of the situation and promised to make her as comfortable as possible. Through supporting Florenta, we were able to move her into a flat which had electricity and heating – a major bonus to someone who had been living under a railway bridge! After her death Simon continued to support the work and has since travelled twice more to visit the project.
Simon involves all his working team in his charitable giving and the staff came up with the idea that they would like to host the first of the year Big Bap Business Challenge – a Golf Day at Orchardleigh. We would love for you to join in the fun of this great event, so book you place now.
Also SLTS South West Ltd are our Platinum Sponsors of this year’s Masquerade Ball. This will give great coverage for their business in all social media, printed media and websites as well as promotion on the night to over 120 business people.
The icing on the cake is when we received photos of Simon and his workforce in their newly branded outwear, signed not only with the SLTS logo but also the Business against Poverty ethical member logo. We think they look rather smart.
